ALLnSync
Automatic File and Directory Synchronization

ALLnSync is a very
fast and easy to use Directory / File synchronizer. It's main
function is to synchronize the files in a selected directory and
it's sub-directories on two different drives which can be on the
same computer, or different computers over a network. It is ideal
for keeping files synchronized between a desktop & laptop or
between multiple drives on you desktop and is a very fast method of
backing up critical directories. Any drive that your PC can attach
to over any network can be synchronized to a drive on your PC or
conversley, your PC directories can be synced to a network drive. It
can synchronize to / from a floppy, Zip Drive, external / internal
hard drives, Super Drive, or any drive that is directly writeable
from your operating system. ALLnSync has Three modes of
operation, 'Silent Scan', Sync Two Drives' and Delete from
Destination (See Descriptions below.) DownLoad the Helpfile to

In the 'Silent Scan mode, ALLnSync
silently polls the selected directories on the source drive, waiting
for notification that a file has changed. As soon as you save a file
in the selected directories, ALLnSync will compare the files date
and time with the same files date and time on the destination drive.
If the source drives timestamp is newer, it will copy the file over
the older file on the destination drive. If the destination drives
file does not exist, it will create it. If the directory structure
in which the file resides does not exist on the destination drive,
it will create the path leading to the file. Files that have not
changed while ALLnSync is running will not be updated in this mode.
ALLnSync can run in this mode minimized and does not affect the PCs
performance as the operating system notifies the application of the
change. ALLnSync can now back up files that are locked by it's
application!
ALLnSync's - 'Sync Two Drives' mode
will create the source drives selected Top Directory and all of it's
sub-directories on the destination drive if they do not exist very
quickly. If they already exist, it will check each files Time/Date
stamp and copy all updated files to the destination drive. The
difference between this and the 'Silent Scan' mode is that it will
sync all selected files and sub-directories and not just files that
have changed since ALLnSync started. In this mode, the file
synchronization is user initiated and not automatic. This is very
handy in setting up the directory structure the first time on the
destination drive, or making sure all files are in sync if ALLnSync
was not running and changes were made.
ALLnSync's - 'Delete from destination' mode will allow you to completely synchronize the source and destination drives by deleting from the destination what no longer exists on the source drive. This was made a separate mode to avoid deleting wanted files. Appropiate warnings and checks have been added to avoid this. This mode does not meet AllnSyncs original purpose of archiving or backing up files, but was often requested by network and business users. This feature is new starting with version 3.1.1. Registered users can upgrade for free.
